When it comes to this seeemingly natural, DIVALICIOUS afro style I've been rocking lately, I've been alternating between two wigs. The first is the Kyra Afro Kinky Curly unit by Ruth's Beauty Shop, and the second is the Havana BlowOut unit by Fingercomber. To tell you a bit about the brand behind this beauty, Fingercomber's slogan is "by naturals, for naturals." Dolls, a bit of you may not know this because I'm a devoted wig ADDICT, but I've been natural for the past four years. Even though I'm not ready to publicly go natural, I've always loved natural styled weaves and wigs. The problem is, though, that a lot of the weaves and wigs that are meant to mimic kinky hair aren't for us 4C girls. They're meant to mimic 3C to 4B hair textures, and it gets a bit irritating. Shoutout to you 4C girls that flat twist, bantu knot, and whatever else to manipulate your texture to match those of the wigs/weaves, because I'm lazy!
After discovering Fingercomber, I took to Youtube looking at reviews and unboxing videos of their units. A lot of the women behind these videos had my texture of hair, so my hope was restored dolls. I finally mustered the courage to get the Havana Blow Out unit by Fingercomber, priced at $78.00 USD, and these are the details and my thoughts on the unit.
The Havana unit is a HALF wig. I don't usually do half wigs, so I wasn't THRILLED, but I guess that's the whole point of it looking natural ( by blending it with your own hair.) The roots of the wig have a 4A curl pattern as opposed to the ends that are 4C textured. To get my own hair to blend with the roots, I used Creme of Nature's Argan Oil and braided my leave out in plats (I left out about 2 inches of my own hair). The hair is VERY full, and can be made fuller.I just used a paddle brush to brush it out.
You have to brush this hair REGULARLY!!!!!! This is imperative. The hair is synthetic, and there's nothing worse and more tedious than a matted wig.
The wig has two large combs at the front and back of the wig, that've proven to be pretty secure, but I still use additional bobby pins.
My overall rating: ☆☆☆☆1/2

I would love this wig so much more if it was human, but luckily I have a human hair alternative.
