About a week ago, I recieved a shiny PINK bubble envelope in the mail, and boy, was I excited! I didn't know exactly what it was, but it came in pink packaging, so it must be something good, right? Of course!! They were my Geo Nudy Quarter Golden Blue lenses by www.eyecandys.com, which for those of you who've never heard of them, they're this bomb company that specializes in everything circle lenses, lingerie, and a bunch of other cool items. I initially got the inspiration to get these lenses while watching a makeup tutorial by MsAaliyahJay. Now these aren't the exact lenses that she had on; She wore the Desio lenses, which are these fancy pants expensive contact lenses from Italy that everyone on Youtube raves about. I guess I'm the black sheep of Youtube, because I fell into the hype and bought them...and I wasn't impressed. I mean they were like, super comfortable, but that's about it for me. They didn't give me the enlargement that I've grown to love (naturally, because they're contact lenses, not circle lenses) and the color wasn't the best (I've worn more natural green lenses). But, nonetheless, I saw the lenses on here, and these reminded me of them, so I got them. Here's what I like and don't like about the lenses:
They're 14.2mm lenses, which is TINY. The lenses I usually purchase are 14.8mm and up, so these definitely don't give me any kind of enlargement. I'm also accustomed to lenses with a thick limbal ring (the dark outer ring of the lens), so while regardless of the diameter, a thicker limbal ring could've contributed to the enlargement effect, in this case, it didn't help at all. On the other hand, where the lens fails in size is made up for in color. The lens is a sky blue hue, with tinges of gold near the inner ring. My dark eyes are pretty much nonexistent under these lenses; That's how opaque they are, and though somethimes I prefer the blend, on these lenses, it works.
Furthermore, they're EXTREMELY comfortable. Keep in mind that circle lenses "dry up" on the eye quicker than contact lenses because of their size. The larger the circle lens is, the less oxygen your eye will recieves. With me being so accustomed to larger lenses, I forgot these lenses were there. I went out for a day with friends, and I went EIGHT hours without eye drops or irritation, so as far as comfortability, I'd give these lenses ☆☆☆☆☆.
As far as enlargement, I'd give these lenses ☆☆, but I would recommend them for beginner circle lens wearers; They'd give a slight amount of enlargement, and a complete eye color change. Overall, I think they're a beautiful, subtle, and comfortable lens suitable for anyone looking to switch it up!
